Custom Pet Portraits

I’m opening my services up for custom pet portraits!

If you’d like a portrait of yours or a loved ones pet, please visit my Etsy Listing and we can have a chat about what you’d like. It could be a memorial, or just because you love your lil fuzzy bb. I can include accessories (like their favourite toy, or a bow, or in Charlies case below; lavender!), simple patterns, specific colours & of course their name as well.

If you’d like to get to know my style a little more, please visit my illustration portfolio, or have a peek at some of my past pet portrait commissions below:

Sketchbook Pages: 9

Since getting in to using my iPad for all my drawing and painting, I’ve hardly opened a physical sketchbook.

Sounds kind of blasphemous coming from me - up until a year ago I was very much “make everything with real pencils and paint and paper alwaaaayss!”. It’s just so easy to pick up my iPad, sit on the sofa and draw. I don’t have to wait for the light to be right, I don’t have to make a mess getting all my pencils and pens and paint out - its eeeasy.

Don’t get me wrong, I do believe it has caused me to create some bad habits, and I have an itch to paint something on a big piece of wood or canvas at the moment, but for the last little while, these have been my “sketchbook” pages:

Ohh Deer Pillow Fight Competition

I’ve entered Ohh Deer’s Pillow Fight Competition!

This is something I’ve wanted to do for years but never felt confident enough. I’m so happy that I managed to enter this year with a few designs that I’m proud of. So far I’ve only entered 3 and it’s possible to enter up to 5, so I may enter a couple of new designs soon as well!

It would mean the world to me if you could take a few minutes to vote for my designs by clicking on the cushions below, signing up to Ohh Deer (if you don’t already have an account with them) and voting at the top of each cushions page! I always feel a bit weird asking for things like this, but I’ve been told I need to get over that, hehe.

Inktober 2018: Week 1

Last minute, I decided to try Inktober again this year.

I made a point of not buying anything new, cutting up some watercolour paper and just doing it. This week I’ve focused on UK Folklore/mythology.

Next week I’d like to improve my photos (I keep taking them after work at night), find my Sakura Microns (!!!!), and maybe use some larger paper. I also “cheated” and used my iPad on the 5th day - going to try not to do that again!

Who else is doing Inktober this year? Let me know!
